You learn a step-by-step process for getting into the media, as well as how to systematize your publicity program (and other marketing activities) in a manner that is duplicatable, teachable, measurable and trackable.

 

Through interactive exercises and discussion you learn:

  • Proven step-by-step process for getting into the media;
  • What is newsworthy about you and your business;

The key is this workshop is you learn from a journalist who has been published in major news outlets like The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, National Post, and leading trade publications.

You'll also learn how to develop a media kit to assist the media in putting together a great story about you and your business, and how to create a contact list of media who want to interview you.

Specifically, in this one-day workshop you will learn:

  • How to write five different types of releases that capture the interest of producers, editors, and journalists;
  • How to match the tone, flavor and style of your release to the tone, flavor and style of the media outlet;
  • Who you should send your release to;
  • When you should send releases and media kits into the hands of editors and producers so they use them;

  • The three critical elements that editors/ producers want to know before they agree to your article/ interview idea.
